Vanessa Hughes
Background
Vanessa is a graduate of Valparaiso University and has been a Piccolo ensemble member since 2006.
Vanessa has appeared in such shows as The Real Inspector Hound, Sinbad, Vaudeville and Vixens, Twelveth Night, Perseus and Medusa, Robin Hood, and A Servant of Two Masters.
In addition to her acting contributions, Vanessa's creative contributions include:
- Assistant director of Piccolo's much acclaimed Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead
- Prop master for Low Pay? Don't Pay!
- Choreographer for Vaudeville and Vixens, Perseus and Medusa, and Six Dead Queens and an Inflatable Henry.
Vanessa is also a well-respected singer and can be heard on the soundtrack for the movie, Even Trade.

Vanessa is a reiki practitioner and spiritual coach.
She also founded VKH Events, a green and eco-chic event planning company. The firm plans events with an eye towards the artistic and environmentally-conscious. It specializes in events that support community involvement and service.
Vanessa lives in Chicago and thanks her dear friends, family, and fuzzy kids for their constant support!
