Robert Erving Potter III
Ensemble Member, Founder
Mr. Potter's first chance at stardom was averted when he was rightfully fired from The Second City by Cheryl Sloane for being on stage during a performance in which he was not cast.
Mr. Potter has since sobered up.
Background
Potter studied photography at Interlochen Arts Academy by day. By night (after curfew), he learned the art of improvisation and his way around back stage in Gruno Theatre with fellow mischievous and rule-bending peers.
Mr. Potter went on to study Theatre with "Doc" Sitton at Valparaiso University.
He read Shakespeare at Cambridge University, Cambridge England, and was accepted by the university's Thespian Society.
Mr. Potter's professional life in theatre started when he was cast in "The Tale of the Headless Horseman" performed on horseback directed by Joe Dolye. Additionally, Mr. Potter was one of the regulars at "Batteries Not Included" an invitational Improv comedy group produced by Joe Keefe and Ron Dean.
Mr. Potter was also involved in the filming of the Warner Brothers movie "Above the Law" and says that sparring with Steven Segal is something he will never forget.
When Potter isn't working with Piccolo on the next production, you may find him wearing one of his many other hats:
- Founder and instructor, Potter School of Photography
- Principle of REP3 an exciting artistic photographic studio

- erotic illustrations for the G Boutique Pin Up Girls
- journalistic photographs for the covers of national magazines.
