Denita Linnertz

Background

Denita graduated from Valparaiso University with a BA in music and theatre.

After moving to Chicago and deciding Piccolo was to be her artistic home, she has taken turns as actor, managing director, music director, assistant director, marketing director, and production manager. Denita has been involved in 22 Piccolo main stage productions in various capacities, of which her favorites are Six Dead Queens & an Inflatable Henry!, Rough Crossing, and Vaudeville & Vixens.

Credits outside of Piccolo include the Georgia Shakespeare Festival, The History Channel, American Folklore Theatre, Madison Repertory Theatre, Wagon Wheel Theatre, Circle Theatre, and the Theatre Building Chicago (new musical workshops). She has also worked with and directed for young actors' Shakespeare camps at both Valparaiso University and Georgia Shakespeare Festival.
