Deborah Proud

Ensemble Member, Founder

Background

Deborah Proud is a founding artistic ensemble member and has served as performer, costume designer, technical director, production manager, managing director, teacher, and rabble-rouser. Her focus is on performance in film, podcasts, and stage, where she goes by Deborah Craft. Working with Piccolo in some capacity on nearly all of the company's productions, Deborah's love of physical theatre and comedy in all its forms keeps her coming back season after season.

She is looking forward to participating in the growth of the Piccolo Conservatory where she will be one of the "psychocalisthenics" teachers and where she hopes to continue her own education in the "Piccolo way."

In addition to her membership with Piccolo Theatre, Deborah also has the distinction of being a collective member with LiveWire Chicago Theatre with whom she stretches her chops in more contemporary and new directions.
